Arthritis Foundation - SW District

Did you know that Arthritis has become one of the most challenging and pressing public health problems due to the aging population and the dramatic increase in obesity? It is the leading cause of disability trailing only behind heart disease as the leading cause of work disability. Arthritis is a growing health concern and affects one in three people in Wisconsin - that's 1.1 million men, women, children who have arthritis.

There are 120 different forms of arthritis and currently there is no cure.

It is time to take control! The Arthritis Foundation of Southwestern Wisconsin provides valuable information and resources to help people manage their arthritis and improve your quality of life.

The S.W. District offers various community services including public forums, support groups and land & water exercise programs to help people better manage their disease.
