(Tickets now are on sale for our biggest show of the year April 18, 2009. Click here or call the toll-free number 1-800-838-3006. See below for more show details.) A CAPITOL CHORDSMEN HOLIDAY "MEGA-QUARTET" will carol up and down State Street Saturday the last before Christmas to extend seasons' greetings in song to shoppers, families, and visitors. A mega-quartet is one that is composed of more than the four members in a quartet and fewer than the 25 or so who comprise the Capitol Chordsmen Chorus. The group will begin performing at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, 227 State Street, under the sponsorship of the Madison Central Business Improvement District. From there until 3 p.m., the Chordsmen will wander in song up and down State Street and in and out of various venues. We also may hop aboard the free downtown Trolley, which serves State Street and Capitol Square, to entertain passengers. If you'd like to catch us and need parking assistance, please see the parking information at the Business Improvement District's Web site. WE LEARNED DEC. 16 OF THE DEATH OF HERSCHEL SMITH, the last surviving original member of the famed 'Buffalo Bills' quartet and a former member of our Chapter. More THANKSGIVING CONCERT RAISED FUNDS FOR 4,900 MEALS! Our second annual Barbershoppers' Thanksgiving Concert Nov. 1 offered a real feast of barbershop music and also benefited area food pantries as we accepted donations at the concert totaling $712 for Second Harvest Food Bank. Based on Second Harvest calculations, that will provide an additional 4,900 meals in our 16-county area! More DOWNLOAD OUR ONE-PAGE LEAFLET ANNOUNCING HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR 2008-09 SEASON!
