About Us

The Dane County Council is made up of 24 posts in various cities and villages across Dane County. The Council is one of 7 County Councils in southwestern Wisconsin that make up the Third District, one of the 12 Districts in the Department (State).

There are over 3000 veterans in the 24 posts in Dane County. Each post is unique in that they are made up to serve the local veteran, community and youth of their area. Each post has local fundraisers to help to underwrite their programs.

The purpose of this site is to aid in distributing information about the Dane County Council, Third District, Department of Wisconsin and its many local and national programs. Listed below is just a glimpse of what is offered:
