About Us

Madison NORML is a new organization in Madison, Wisconsin, dedicated to the reform of local, state and national laws regarding personal, medical and agricultural cannabis.

Madison NORML was founded on August 1, 2004 at 4:20 pm by a group of Madisonians gathered on the UW Madison Memorial Union Terrace.

Madison NORML is both a political organization that advocates for cannabis law reform, as well as a social group that brings together members of our community, students, patients, people with disabilities, musicians, lawyers, executives, clerks, health care professionals, small business owners and all sorts of other everyday people.

In addition to helping to organize events like the annual "Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival" in early October, Madison NORML also helps organize other events by itself or with other groups.

Past events include medical marijuana benefits, a medical cannabis lobby day at the State Capitol, bringing in speakers, and of course, our meetings.

Currently, Madison NORML meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7pm at Escape Coffee on Willy St. on Madison's East Side.
