2009 WISCONSIN GARDEN JOURNAL

- 2009 Wisconsin Garden Journal Order Form -
The 190-page 2009 Wisconsin Garden Journal is not only a weekly engagement calendar, but also a valuable tool to help Midwest gardeners in Zones 3-5 plan, organize, and maintain their gardens. Featuring color photography and original artwork, this unique publication includes articles, monthly task lists of garden chores, weekly tips, a planting guide, and extensive reference material. The theme of the fourteenth edition of the Garden Journal is Gardening for the Senses.

Purchase at garden centers, book stores, and other retail outlets. Or use this order form to order by mail.

  • You must be a master gardener to be a MAMGA member, but you do not need to be actively volunteering with the program.
  • This form can also be used to order the 2008 Wisconsin Garden Journal at the member's rate.

    Please complete and submit electronically by in early September each year. If your hours are late, OR if you're an MG Student/Intern, you can mail or email your hours at any time in order to report by your due date--one year after your final exam.

    This is a wordprocessing file. You can save the form to your computer, complete it and email it to mamgatimekeeper@yahoo.com. If you cannot do so, you can print it off, complete it and mail Dane County Extension Office on the form.

  • Questions about your hours should be directed to Lisa or Ann at Dane Co.

    We are now accepting grant applications for school gardening projects to be used during the 2008-2009 school year. This first funding is limited to $50 per project. Any instructor or MGV affiliated with a publically funded Dane County district school can apply. Application Deadline: October 15, 2008. Award will be made November 1, 2008. Point of Contact: mamgaGrants@yahoo.com. Or, call 608-224-3721 and leave a message. Grants are funded by sales of our Wisconsin Garden Journal.

    MAMGA Mentor Program Brochure <--NEW PROGRAM

    MENTEES:
    Each new MG student and any MG graduate who is interested in having a master gardener mentor is encouraged to participate in the program. Even if we can't obtain volunteers to be mentors for all interested mentees, the Community Service Committee will have events that will benefit you.

    MENTORS:
    Any master gardener who has volunteered a minimum of 100 service hours (and there's a lot in Dane County)and is excited about passing along the "tricks of the trade" are encouraged to help these new students.

    Complete this form and mail back the survey and sign up sections to MAMGA. This form can be mailed in at any time, however the class schedule runs from Jan-Jun and Jun to Dec. We'd like to be able to match up mentor pgm teams in January and June, when possible.

    Our MAMGAupdate newsletter is published monthly. To submit an article, contact MAMGA Newsletter or mamgamail@yahoo.com. (Or, call 224-3721 and mention you want to submit a "MAMGA newsletter article".) Please submit articles by the first Friday of each month (for the following month's issue). Time spent writing and researching articles can be counted as Extension Volunteer time. Information about other plant/nature related organizations can be forwarded for inclusion in our calendar, as well.
