Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive insect that is likely to be the next big threat to the health of Wisconsin's forests. Led by Anna Healy of the Department of Ag, Trade, & Consumer Protection, this workshop will cover EAB biology and life history as well as what citizens can do to help detect and prevent the spread of this insect. Following the workshop, participants will identify ash trees at Troy Gardens and will conduct tree health assessments.
This workshop and volunteer activity will run from 9 am until noon at Troy Gardens (located on the 500 block of Troy Drive, on Madison's Northside). We'll meet at the yellow shed on the front of the land. Contact Christie Ralston at 240-0409 or at naturalareas@troygardens.org to register!
