About Us

The Center for Resilient Cities (formerly Urban Open Space Foundation) is a nonprofit supporting the health of Wisconsin's cities.

Since 1996, the Center has helped protect and/or restore more than 300 downtown acres in the greater Milwaukee and Madison regions and successfully advocated for land use policy reform. The Center also spearheaded Wisconsin's only successful open space public financing referendum that set aside $30 million for park acquisition in Dane County.
